The Diploma of Nutrition Online Resources project involved the conversion of existing print resource materials into engaging, effective and interactive online resources. Thirteen units of competency were needed to be redeveloped into online resources, for hosting on a Moodle Learning Management System.
With the client coming to Superb Learning late in the process, the project was scheduled to run over a tight frame of 12 weeks for the development of all online resources.
Superb Learning employed a rapid development process, breaking the project into four separate blocks each containing 3 to 4 units of competency each. Larger units of competency where broken into separate stand-alone resources to minimise the time required to complete each, and avoid cognitive overload.
A custom template was developed for utilisation across all units of competency and content was built in the authoring tool with layers and interactive elements allowing for participants to drill deeper into the content. Each content page include text and visual elements to enhance learning transfer. All units contained at least one video as an additional learning tool.
An interactive quiz was built at the end of each section to check participants knowledge and understanding.
The content for each of the units was developed and the client deployed the units on their LMS successfully.
The online courses were developed in Articulate Storyline 2. The custom template and images were created and edited in Adobe Photoshop CC.
